Arkezia is a sweet wine made from Verdicchio grapes touched by noble rot. Honeyed and exotic, intense but still fresh, with real length. Comes in a 500ml bottle.
Tastes like: Apricot and honey, with chamomile, dried fig and saffron.
Feels like: Full-bodied and sweet, with balanced freshness and no oak.
Great with: Foie gras, blue cheese, almond tart, lemon cake.
Singapore and Asian favourites: Mango pomelo sago, egg tarts, pineapple tarts.
The geeky bit: Verdicchio from a south-facing vineyard on clay and limestone soil.
Why we like it: Purity and poise in a sweet wine.
Serve: 8 to 10°C. Well chilled.
