Malbec in its comfort zone.
This is the Malbec to reach for when you want plush fruit, smooth tannins and Mendoza richness without the weight. Blackberries, violets and gentle spice in a medium-bodied frame. Ready to party or to chill.
Tastes like: Juicy black plum and ripe blueberry, with a hint of mocha and a spicy lift.
Feels like: Medium-bodied and dry, with soft tannins, balanced freshness and a light touch of oak.
Great with: Anything off the BBQ, grilled mushrooms, empanadas, aged cheddar, burger night.
Singapore and Asian favourites: Satay, char siew, Korean BBQ.
The geeky bit: Malbec grown at more than 1,000 metres in Mendoza’s Uco Valley, where rocky soils and a big swing between day and night temperatures keep the acidity and build flavour.
Why we like it: Unpretentious, versatile and very drinkable. Norton just gets it.
Serve: 16 to 18°C. Room temperature in Singapore is too warm for red wine, so give it 20 minutes in the fridge first.
Alcohol: 13.5%
