Roseblood is best known as a rosé, but Château d’Estoublon makes a white too. A blend of Rolle, Grenache Blanc and Roussanne: crisp, lively and nicely balanced, with a few Mediterranean herbs in the background.
Tastes like: White peach, lemon zest and pear, with citrus blossom and delicate herbs.
Feels like: Light-bodied and dry, with balanced freshness and no oak.
Great with: Grilled prawns, seafood salad, goat cheese, Mediterranean vegetable dishes.
Singapore and Asian favourites: Sushi, steamed fish, prawn rice paper rolls.
The geeky bit: Rolle (the local name for Vermentino), Grenache Blanc and Roussanne from estate vineyards in Provence, on limestone-rich soils in a Mediterranean climate.
Why we like it: Fresh, sunny and elegant. Made for warm afternoons and seafood.
Serve: 8 to 10°C. Well chilled.
