Soave deserves more love. Start here.
From the hills of Soave Classico, Bertani’s Sereole is 100% Garganega. Fresh, with an almond-like mineral note and a soft, mouth-coating texture.
Tastes like: Golden apple, chamomile and almond, with lemon peel and honeysuckle.
Feels like: Medium-bodied and dry, with balanced freshness and no oak.
Great with: Grilled fish, asparagus risotto, creamy pastas.
Singapore and Asian favourites: Steamed fish, prawn dumplings, chicken rice.
The geeky bit: From the Sereole vineyard in the Soave Classico zone, on volcanic and limestone soils at about 250 metres.
Accolades: 92 pts James Suckling
Why we like it: Clean, elegant and always overlooked.
Serve: 10 to 12°C. Straight from the fridge is a touch too cold; give it a few minutes in the glass.
Alcohol: 12%
