A rosé for the table, not the poolside.
Cost’è is Banfi’s Tuscan rosé, made from Sangiovese with a splash of Vermentino. Red-berry fruit from the one, citrus and sage from the other. This is the 2019 vintage, so expect a rounder, more savoury style than a just-released rosé.
Tastes like: Wild strawberry and redcurrant, with orange peel and sage.
Feels like: Medium-bodied and dry, with balanced freshness and no oak.
Great with: Grilled prawns, salmon, charcuterie, tomato-based dishes.
Singapore and Asian favourites: Satay, Thai basil chicken, grilled sambal prawns.
The geeky bit: Sangiovese and Vermentino from Banfi’s estate in southern Tuscany, where cool nights hold on to freshness.
Why we like it: A rosé with a bit of grip and character.
Serve: 8 to 10°C. Well chilled.
Alcohol: 13%
