A serious white from a red wine master.
Tua Rita is famous for reds, which makes this white a rare find. Aromatic and structured, with tropical fruit, floral notes and a subtle creamy texture.
Tastes like: Pineapple and jasmine, with lemon balm, white pepper and almond.
Feels like: Medium-bodied and dry, with balanced freshness and a light touch of oak.
Great with: Scallops, mushroom risotto, Brie.
Singapore and Asian favourites: Butter chicken, salted egg prawns, miso cod.
The geeky bit: Vermentino from coastal Suvereto. Part of the wine is aged in oak for extra depth.
Accolades: 92 pts Falstaff
Why we like it: Unusual and luxurious. A white with depth and style.
Serve: 10 to 12°C. Straight from the fridge is a touch too cold; give it a few minutes in the glass.
Alcohol: 13.5%
