Comfort in a bottle.
Siete Soles is an easy-going blend of Semillon and Chardonnay from Chile’s Central Valley. Ripe orchard fruit, a soft texture and a clean, gentle finish. Not flashy, just comfortable. This is the 2016 vintage, so it has some bottle age.
Tastes like: Golden apple and pear, with chamomile, lemon balm and almond.
Feels like: Medium-bodied and dry, with gentle acidity and no oak.
Great with: Grilled prawns, rotisserie chicken, vegetable paella, cheese toasties.
Singapore and Asian favourites: Chicken rice, steamed prawns with garlic, wonton noodles.
The geeky bit: Semillon and Chardonnay from valley-floor vineyards in central Chile, where rich soils and warm days give round, approachable whites.
Why we like it: A mellow blend with a mellow mood. Smooth and good with food.
Serve: 10 to 12°C. Straight from the fridge is a touch too cold; give it a few minutes in the glass.
Alcohol: 12%
