L’Effronté means “the cheeky one”, and the wine lives up to it: playful, modern and full of character. Summer berries, citrus zest and Provençal herbs, with a crisp, refreshing finish.
Tastes like: Redcurrant, wild strawberry and white peach, with grapefruit zest and citrus blossom.
Feels like: Light-bodied and dry, with bright freshness and no oak.
Great with: Seafood platters, Mediterranean tapas, summer salads, grilled chicken.
Singapore and Asian favourites: Sushi and sashimi, Thai basil chicken, prawn rice paper rolls.
The geeky bit: Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah from estate vineyards near La Londe-les-Maures, on schist and granite soils a short distance from the Mediterranean. Farmed organically.
Why we like it: Cheeky, modern and delicious. Drink better, not boring.
