The 2019 Duemani “Duemani” is not just a wine — it’s a bold, biodynamic manifesto in a bottle. Hailing from the sun-soaked, sea-breezed hills of Riparbella along the Tuscan coast, this cult classic represents the purest expression of what Cabernet Franc can be when left to speak unfiltered, unforced, and completely in tune with nature.

Duemani — meaning “two hands” — is the brainchild of Elena Celli and Luca D’Attoma, two visionaries who have transformed this once-wild corner of Tuscany into one of Italy’s most thrilling terroirs. “Duemani,” their flagship wine, is crafted from 100% Cabernet Franc, grown biodynamically, fermented in conical oak tanks, and aged in French barriques — all without compromise, without manipulation, and without apology.

The 2019 vintage delivers power, polish, and poise. Deep purple in colour, with a nose of violets, crushed blackberries, cedar, and graphite. On the palate, it’s rich, textured, and sculpted, with layers of dark fruit, herbs, balsamic depth, and Tuscan earth — yet lifted by vibrant acidity and ultra-fine tannins that promise longevity.

It’s one of the very few wines in the world where Cabernet Franc stands alone and stands proud. A wine for collectors, aficionados, and anyone ready to experience Tuscan wine stripped of all artifice and elevated to its biodynamic peak.

Tasting Notes:

  • Aromas: Blackberry, graphite, violet, balsamic herbs, cedar

  • Palate: Dense and layered with dark plum, black cherry, cocoa nibs, tobacco leaf, and sweet spice

  • Finish: Long and precise with ripe tannins, saline minerality, and a lingering herbal freshness

Perfect Pairings:

  • Aged ribeye with rosemary salt

  • Wild boar ragu over fresh pappardelle

  • Grilled portobello mushrooms with truffle oil

  • Aged pecorino with balsamic fig glaze

  • Charred eggplant with miso and sesame

Accolades:

  • 97 Points – Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate: “A magnificent wine that confirms Duemani as one of Italy’s top estates.”

  • 96 Points – James Suckling: “So polished and pure — the Cabernet Franc is textbook, with structure and finesse.”

  • Tre Bicchieri – Gambero Rosso

  • “One of Tuscany’s most compelling wines.” – Vinous

Vineyard & Terroir:
The “Duemani” vineyard lies at 250–300m elevation in Riparbella, on stony clay-limestone soils that provide excellent drainage and minerality. Exposed to sea breezes and full sun, the vineyard is certified biodynamic, and farmed entirely by hand.

Yields are low, and every grape is meticulously sorted. The wine is fermented with indigenous yeasts in open-top conical wood tanks and matured for 18 months in fine French oak barriques, with no fining, no filtering, and minimal sulphur at bottling.

Why We Love It:
Because this is Cabernet Franc redefined. No blends, no shortcuts, just absolute dedication to purity and place. It’s vibrant, muscular, and wildly elegant — a rare balance of power and grace, made with hands that trust the earth more than the lab. This is what modern biodynamic Tuscany tastes like — and it’s unforgettable.
