Bordeaux bones, Tuscan heart.
Cifra is Duemani’s Cabernet Franc in its purest form. It is aged in concrete, not oak, so nothing gets between you and the fruit: graphite, black cherry and forest herbs, somewhere between wild and refined.
Tastes like: Black cherry and violet, with graphite, Mediterranean herbs and a touch of saltiness.
Feels like: Medium-bodied and dry, with a bit of grip, bright freshness and no oak.
Great with: Steak frites, mushroom risotto, charcoal-grilled lamb chops.
Singapore and Asian favourites: Korean BBQ, yakitori, black pepper beef.
The geeky bit: Cabernet Franc from rocky, well-drained soils near the Tuscan coast, with full southern exposure. Certified biodynamic. Aged in concrete.
Accolades: 92 pts James Suckling · 92 pts Falstaff
Why we like it: Earthy, elegant and effortlessly cool.
Serve: 16 to 18°C. Room temperature in Singapore is too warm for red wine, so give it 20 minutes in the fridge first.
Alcohol: 14%
