A conversation starter from Sicily.
This unusual blend marries the structure of Chardonnay with the perfume of Zibibbo, also known as Muscat of Alexandria. Zesty and expressive, with stone fruit, orange blossom and a dry, mineral finish.
Tastes like: Peach and lychee, with orange blossom and lemon zest.
Feels like: Medium-bodied and dry, with balanced freshness and no oak.
Great with: Spicy prawns, grilled calamari, falafel. Great as an aperitivo.
Singapore and Asian favourites: Pad Thai, tom yum prawns, Vietnamese rice paper rolls.
The geeky bit: Chardonnay and Zibibbo from western Sicily. The producer describes the farming as sustainable.
Why we like it: Floral, dry and fun.
Serve: 10 to 12°C. Straight from the fridge is a touch too cold; give it a few minutes in the glass.
Alcohol: 13%
