Tuscan pink for long lunches.
Costé is Banfi’s Tuscan rosé, made from Sangiovese. Zesty and full of red fruit, with a little minerality and herbs to keep it interesting. This is the 2020 vintage, so it has some bottle age.
Tastes like: Strawberry, raspberry and rose petals, with thyme and white peach.
Feels like: Medium-bodied and dry, with balanced freshness and no oak.
Great with: Niçoise salad, seafood pasta, charcuterie, watermelon and feta.
Singapore and Asian favourites: Sushi, Thai basil chicken, chicken satay.
The geeky bit: From vineyards in the Maremma, on sandy loam soils with sea breezes. Banfi describes the vineyards as sustainably farmed.
Why we like it: Dry, energetic and stylish. Italian rosé done right.
Serve: 8 to 10°C. Well chilled.
Alcohol: 13%
