2020 Banfi Chianti Colli Senesi ‘Trarersa dei Monti’

A fine red wine from the Banfi winery is Traversa dei Monti Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG , characterized by its intensity and great structure. It is made with traditional Chianti varieties with a prevalence of Sangiovese, coming from the vineyards of the Montalcino estate. The soils are rich in calcium and clay, qualities that give particular complexity to the wine. The climate is ventilated and temperate, this allows the vine to grow optimally. The harvest is carried out between the last week of August and the first of September, the period in which the grapes have reached ideal ripeness. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature, it is then transferred to wooden barrels for refinement. Traversa dei Monti Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG is a refined product ready to be tasted, however its great qualities allow it to evolve further if left to refine for a few more years in the cellar.
