Pink Champagne, pretty enough for a toast.
Charles de Cazanove has been making Champagne since 1811. The Brut Rosé is salmon pink, with a nose of rose petal and candied red fruit, and a palate of redcurrant and cranberry.
Tastes like: Rose petal, redcurrant and cranberry, with candied red fruit and light spice.
Feels like: Medium-bodied, dry bubbles, with bright freshness and no oak.
Great with: Salmon, duck, charcuterie, berry desserts. Or simply on its own.
Singapore and Asian favourites: Peking duck, salmon sashimi, char siew bao.
The geeky bit: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay, with a share of still red wine for colour. Blended from vineyards across Champagne and aged in the house’s cellars in Reims.
Why we like it: A rosé Champagne with enough structure for dinner.
Serve: 6 to 8°C. Well chilled.
Alcohol: 12%
