Old vines, big heart.
Generación 73 is made from old-vine Garnacha. Layers of ripe cherry, raspberry jam and Mediterranean herbs, with spice and a supple texture. Concentrated, but easy to like.
Tastes like: Ripe cherry, raspberry and plum, with pepper, thyme and spice.
Feels like: Full-bodied and dry, with a bit of grip, balanced freshness and a light touch of oak.
Great with: Roast pork belly, chorizo with grilled peppers, paella.
Singapore and Asian favourites: Crispy roast pork, satay, beef rendang.
The geeky bit: Old Garnacha vines in Bajo Aragón, on stony, sandy soils that give concentrated fruit.
Why we like it: Garnacha with depth: bold, authentic and full of Spanish soul.
Serve: 16 to 18°C. Room temperature in Singapore is too warm for red wine, so give it 20 minutes in the fridge first.
Alcohol: 14%
Good to know: Organic and vegan.
