Chardonnay with nothing added. No oak, no butter.
Forget heavy oak. This is Chardonnay in its fresh, pure form: citrus, yellow apple and gentle floral notes with a crisp, dry finish.
Tastes like: Apple, lemon zest and white peach, with honeysuckle and wet stone.
Feels like: Light-bodied and dry, with bright freshness and no oak.
Great with: Grilled fish, chicken salad, vegetable quiche, creamy pasta.
Singapore and Asian favourites: Steamed prawns, chicken rice, yong tau foo.
The geeky bit: From Puiatti’s estate vineyards in Friuli, on alluvial soils. Fermented in stainless steel and rested briefly on its lees.
Why we like it: Chardonnay stripped back to its essentials: fresh, clean and versatile.
Serve: 8 to 10°C. Well chilled.
Alcohol: 12.5%
