Real Champagne, for any excuse to celebrate.
Charles de Cazanove Brut is a classic dry Champagne made from all three Champagne grapes. Fine bubbles, orchard fruit, a toasty, biscuity note and a clean finish.
Tastes like: Pear and lemon zest, biscuit and almond, a few white flowers.
Feels like: Medium-bodied, dry bubbles, with bright freshness and no oak.
Great with: Oysters, roast chicken or cheesy gougères. Also very happy on its own before dinner.
Singapore and Asian favourites: Tempura, dim sum, fried carrot cake.
The geeky bit: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay from vineyards in the Marne Valley. It rests on its lees for 18 to 24 months, which is where the bready notes come from.
Accolades: 92 pts Wine Spectator · 92 pts James Suckling · 91 pts Decanter
Why we like it: Reliable, classy and celebratory. Real Champagne at a very fair price.
Serve: 6 to 8°C. Well chilled.
Alcohol: 12%
