Tasting Notes: To the eye, this wine is an invitation: its appearance is of magnificent brilliance. The shades of color combine orange, old gold, and light copper reflections. The wine presents a fine, regular bubble, a testament to its long aging period.
The nose is frank, very upright, yet delicate at the same time. The aromatic profile is already coming through an appealing range of ripe fruit. almost a fruit paste. An attractive maturity which takes nothing away from the clean expression of each component.
In the mouth, the attack is expressive and full of flavor at the same time. The wine keeps its promise: with a remarkable balance, the fruity notes are superb, upright, and generous, but without excess. The aromatic palette is rich and harmonious: sharp gooseberry aromas, which give way to mineral and Virginia tobacco notes. The finish is fresh, refined, and lingers remarkably.
This wine is excellent for laying down.
