Vintage: 2017
Producer: Tenuta San Guido
Tenuta San Guido is one of the rare examples of a domain whose name is less famous than that of its great wine, Sassicaia. It must be said that the latter has played a major role in the history and recognition of the Bolgheri vineyard, initiating the true revolution of « Super Tuscan » wines.
Tasting Notes: Made with 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Sangiovese, this offers aromas of blackberry, charred earth, blue flower, and a whiff of oak-driven spice. The linear, elegant palate offers dried black cherry, black currant, and licorice alongside taut polished tannins.
