Banfi’s lightest white. Simple and refreshing.
Le Rime is a blend of Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay made without oak. This is the 2020 vintage, so it has some bottle age and the fruit is a little rounder.
Tastes like: Pear, apple and citrus, with white flowers.
Feels like: Light-bodied and dry, with balanced freshness and no oak.
Great with: Salads, grilled fish, light pasta, aperitif snacks.
Singapore and Asian favourites: Steamed fish, chicken rice, spring rolls.
The geeky bit: From Banfi’s estate vineyards in southern Tuscany. No oak.
Why we like it: A simple, refreshing white for easy evenings.
Serve: 8 to 10°C. Well chilled.
